Software Developer, I have been living in Japan for almost ten years, currently developing with Ruby on Rails and AngularJS. I like the life in the countryside and enjoy training for triathlon.
Things I find rewarding to work in this company : first there is a good mood and good communication among members even if we work in different places (Matsue /Tokyo). I like to start the work early and finish early [7:00 / 16:00]. Also after a period of trial and under conditions we are able from time to time to work from home. I am learning a lot also from the other members as I was not familiar with Ruby on Rails at the start.
The spirit is a bit start-up like as the team is still small which gives more responsibility to each members building the software, but also we can bring our own ideas to improve it. The development pace is also quite high.
First if you are not a native Japanese speaker it is highly preferable to be able to communicate on a professional level as it is our day to day language (meetings, slack). Then people who are more likely to match with us are the one who are not afraid of communicating their problems during development for exemple. We have a various background experience and support each other in fields we are less comfortable. Some are more back-end, some more front-end, but we all have to take care of both as the team is still small. So people who are ready to learn and share new knowledge are welcome.
